Semi-threaded screws: are used as lag screws and have only a partial thread
Fully threaded screws: thread along the entire length of the screw shaft. They are used as standard in connection with plate holes or also used as set screws.
Corticalis screws: have a narrow and flat thread (thread pitch).
Cancellous bone screws: have a wider and higher thread to achieve a firm connection / anchorage in cancellous bone.
